Works like a charm for my pup. He doesn’t mind getting his nails trimmed at all any more. It’s super gentle and he just lays down and let’s me trim his nails now!!

This is the second device I've owned in the last 10 years. The first gave out after using it regularly for more than 10 years. I love this tool to keep the mails trimmed for both of my dogs. I use the device without the guard attachment to get an even curve on the nails. If you try this, just be careful to keep the sanding pad moving around the nail and don't hold it in place in one spot, to avoid injury to the dog's nail.

Works great for my dogs toenails
I bought this to grind my dog's toenails rather than clipping them and worrying about hitting the quick. The drill isn't very noisy and doesn't upset my dog. It comes with several attachments and is a great price for such a good product.

If your looking at this, buy it! So worth it!
This has saved my animals from so much uneccessary pain and time. There is much less of a fight with this then when I used traditional nail clippers.
The great thing about these is that if I get close to the quick, my dog starts to pull his foot away harder and that is so much better than having to worry about accidentally cutting into it!

Fantastic
After getting sick of paying 20 dollars to have Petsmart do a mediocre job at cutting my dogs nails, I decided to give this a try. It works fantastic. If you're afraid like I was, just go slow at first and youll very quickly develop a rhythm and it becomes easy. 5/5

Best Decision...
I've had my dog Dixie since she was 5 (she is now 11). Ever since I adopted her the poor thing has had, what I like to call, her dragon claws. I have attempted for the past 6 years to get her nails trimmed and keep them short. Needless to say my dogs anxiety about nail trimming has been a constant road block for not only me (with at home trimming) but also over half a dozen groomers and even my vet. At one point my vet prescribed medication to sedate Dixie before nail trimmings; it didn't work.
Just before Christmas I happened to be surfing the pet supply section of the internet when I came across this magical device. I will say that the first time it was a bit of a fight to get the job done. But with lots of persistence(and loads of treats) we were able to manicure her crazy paws.
The picture in our email reflects her nails after our third session. I would recommend this product any day of the week. Not just because it works so wonderfully but because my dog seems 100000% more comfortable and that means the world to me.

This nail grinder is awesome! I have a cordless Dremel
This nail grinder is awesome! I have a cordless Dremel, and while it can grind the nails down more quickly, it's so much louder than this grinder that my dogs are bothered by the noise and do not tolerate it so well. I have two Akitas and a Dogo Argentino and this nail grinder works well on all of them. It is slower though so it's best used for regular maintenance rather than for dogs with really long nails. Don't get me wrong - it does grind down the dog's nails effectively, but it's not as fast as clippers (also not as error prone). The charge holds really well. I was able to grind down the nails on the back paws of my Akita, which hadn't been trimmed in several months, shape and smooth the nails on her front paws, which had been clipped just a few days prior, shape and smooth most of the nails on my Dogo Argentino, grind down one nail on my Dogo Argentino which hadn't been trimmed for months because I missed it when I did the other ones, and the charge was still going strong after 15-20 minutes. I think it would take around 10 minutes to do one large dog using this grinder if you do nails every week or two and the dog isn't being uncooperative. It works a bit faster if you hold the nail you're grinding and put slight pressure on it using the grinder.

Great clipper for big dogs
This grinder Is small, lightweight, easy to grip, almost completely silent, and super effective. I have an 80 pound 26 inch tall boxer\pointer mix, he is very anxious and has very sensitive feet and this grinder does not bother him in the slightest. I am able to grind his nails without any help which is awesome. the head is small enough to get his dew claws easily as well. great grinder for the value, at a pet store these go for 50-100 dollars. over all 10/10 an awesome product. * I did not receive any discount of free merchandise for my review, this is just my real and honest opinion as a dog owner who cant get near her dog with traditional clippers*

So easy to use!
I hate using nail clippers on my dogs because I always feel like I'm going to hurt them but with the nail trimmer it is so quick to dull and trim the nails and I never feel like I'm going to hurt them like I do with regular nail clippers.

No more sharp claws
My cats scratch me all the time and with this I'm able to make their claws dull enough that they won't make me bleed anymore. I would reccomend to any other cat moms!

My dog tolerates it
My dog is very tolerant of this - it's not too loud and the vibrations aren't so extreme that it's frightening. But my dog is extremely compliant with all grooming overall.
