We have two mini Schnauzers -both joined our family when they were 5 years old and they are now 8. They had no dental care before we adopted them and one of the two had terrible teeth with caries and gum recession. WONDERFUL IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! at first my puppy was scared of brushing his teeth and now its how i get him to jump into bed every night! After desensitizing him to the toothbrush i used this toothpaste as small treats to get him use to the flavor. He quickly loved it! slowly I began to help get him use to brushing his teeth with it, now its his favorite thing to do! He could be in deep sleep but if i pull this toothpaste out and ask if he’d like to brush his teeth he immediately comes! Another pro is it isn’t so smelly! This is a really great toothpaste that has helped my dog's breath and tartar. Price is much better than pet stores. My dog doesn't mind the taste. We've seen improvement in his teeth condition when using this toothpaste and brushing at least 3-4 times a week and his teeth were considered moderate-severe in terms of tartar and plaque and needing a professional dental cleaning. Well we've kept up with brushing and his teeth are mild-moderate now and vet says we can wait another year at most for that professional cleaning. Don't wait like we did and brush your dogs teeth weekly if not daily. If your dog is not used to having his/her teeth brushed don't give up... you can train them to like it, be gentle and reward them and be patient because over time they can learn. This toothpaste and regular brushing work great for keep your dog's teeth healthy!

I have a German Shephard with terrible breath and this stuff does the trick everytime. I've tired other dog toothpastes before but my dog never liked them at all he would just sniff and walk away which makes this toothpaste so great because he seriously can't get enough of it he thinks it's a treat.

After one time use I can see a difference in my dog's teeth. She doesn't like to chew hard dental bones so it's a struggle to keep her teeth clean. But she does not seem to mind the toothbrush toy and I can tell she loves the toothpaste by how excited she gets when she chews on the toothbrush!
