How does CBD work in pets?

Is THC necessary for CBD to work?

No. This belief was common before further research was done regarding hemp’s other cannabinoids. New information has shown that THC and CBD can sufficiently function without the other. Broad Spectrum products that are THC-free but still have several other cannabinoids present are the most beneficial as the cannabinoids can complement each other’s individual effects.

Is THC safe to use in pets?

We do not recommend giving THC to animals. Every species will experience different reactions to the compound. Dogs are highly sensitive to its psychoactive properties, while cats are less susceptible. Water-soluble technology is used to create a liquid or a powder that results in water-soluble and highly bioavailable cannabidiol. This method solves the issue with pure Phytocannabinoid-Rich hemp oil that is water-insoluble, and thus not readily absorbed into the bloodstream.

When our hemp oil converts into a water-soluble liquid, it quickly goes into the solution, forming cannabinoid emulsion droplets with an average size of 25 nanometers, providing a high surface area for enhanced bioavailability-Resulting in a superior ingredient. The difference between supercritical hemp oil vs. ethanol extracted hemp oil?

Two separate processes produce our Phytocannabinoid-Rich Hemp Oil. The first process utilizes supercritical CO2 to provide an extract rich in terpenes, Cannabidiol (CBD), and other phytocannabinoids. This extract is further subjected to winterization in ethanol and solvent removal through vacuum distillation. After the chlorophyll, waxes, and THC are removed, the resulting product is a PCR hemp oil with 70-90% CBD, minor cannabinoids, and terpenes.

The second solvent-extraction process utilizes ethanol for extraction, followed by the same purification processes as the first, to remove chlorophyll, waxes, and THC. The only difference between the two methods is that the first step, extraction, utilizes different solvents; CO2 and ethanol, respectively.

Irrespective of the process, the critical attributes of the oil (CBD %, terpenes, minor cannabinoids) remain the same. Since the extract from both methods undergoes the same set of purification steps, the resulting hemp oil attributes remain comparable and similar from the two approaches.
